Its true that most popular music now is rap, some country, and disney crap. I notice that a lot of adults complain at this wondering if we will ever hear “good” bands again. They complain that teenagers are listining to this kind of music. But, if they find a teen who likes some bands that they liked as a child, they claim that we’re not “real” fans, and that we only like it because of guitar hero…………

i actually hear more “classic rawk is the only music!!!” bugs than anybody else preaching and forcing their preference on everybody else

i think adults say and think that because we weren’t alive when those bands were in their prime. we didn’t get to go to their concerts, buy their albums when they came out, and all that stuff.
some adults, in reality, are just ignorant.

I am 15 and I love Led Zeppelin very much I hear them because they have deep spiritual meanings in their songs.

I think some adults just think that teenagers don’t really care about anything. They assume that all of us are on crack. It is important to tell your parents or other adults that you really do like these bands. And that Guitar Hero just showed you some bands whose music you really like.

Your question included Led Zeppelin, and immediately caught my eye. Real musicians and up and coming ones, will not only recognize but, immulate the greatness of what was LZ. Robert Plant was quoted once, in LZ’s hayday, “…it’s not the fact that we’re no.1 (LZ), it’s just that we’re so much better than whoever’s no.2!” Arrogant and the absolute truth. The gauntlet still lays where LZ put it. I would saturate any beginning guitarist, bass player, drummer or singer with the musical talents of LZ. “Physical Graffiti”, still makes mountains tremble. I am a drummer of over 40yrs. I was witness to the aura of LZ. They set standards that are still standards today. Here’s another quote, by Elvis, when LZ was at one of his concerts in Las Vegas, “…alright boys, let’s get it right this time. LZ’s in the audience.” How cool to hear Elvis say this about your band? Teens and anyone, if you’re picking up on LZ’s music, you’ve chosen the best rock&roll has ever produced. Period! ’nuff said
