My dad caught me listening to The Fight Song just when Manson said, “I’m not a slave to a god that doesn’t exist.” He was NOT HAPPY. He was so mad I saw smoke coming out of his ears.

Good choice of music. My parents like that kind of music – minus Rihanna, Linkin Park, and Marilyn Manson, so they wouldn’t care about that. They don’t want me to be listening to songs with inappropriate lyrics but they aren’t religiously-paranoid either…

Haha that’s too bad about your parents.
I like basically the same stuff you do, but my taste in music is a little more varied. I like most things from death metal to classical wussy stuff. The only stuff I don’t like is rap and country. My favorite though is good old fashioned rock and roll :]
My mom likes some of my music, actually, which disturbs me haha. At least she lets me go to concerts.

lol my mom and dad shaped the playlists I have today. they introduced me to most of the music I love, and I do the same for them… (well, my mom at least, my dad tends to stick with classic rock and some newer rock)

My mother HATES the music I listen too. I listen to music in the car when I’m waiting for her to get ready to go out, and as soon as she comes outside she turns the music off. I turn the music back off when she’s driving around, and she tells me “she’s not in the mood” and turns it off again. In the house, I generally don’t listen to music … I know she’d turn it off, or tell me to turn it down (when I can barely hear it to begin with). I don’t listen to any of the bands/singers you listen to, except Rihanna. This is what ipod’s are for my friend!

Tell your dad that Marilyn Manson was talking about Alah, not the Christian God. He has no problem with the one true God.
